Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
(Phil. 2:1-4) NIV
It's a great day to offer encouragement to someone...but who? Why not everybody? At the end of the day, wouldn't we all enjoy the satisfaction of knowing our footprints mattered? That our actions and intentions meant something? That we spoke words from a genuine heart?
I love this passage because it reminds us to share what we've been freely given. If we've ever been comforted or shown tenderness or received encouragement that has picked us up from the low places, then what better gift to share with others?
Who are your going to encourage this week?
